House of Turquoise

Go check out House of Turquoise. I just recently found this blog and love all of the stuff she posts...maybe because I am obsessed with turquoise & greens right now! Gives me something to look forward to since we are moving in 36 days!! Here are a few of my favorite pics from her blog:

Check out Decor by Color for lots of other color scheme ideas. I loved these sites to I just had to share them! Enjoy!

Look at this precious baby!! I think it is going to come out with Colin's ridiculously long legs!
3-16-10
12 weeks!

Due Date: Sept 25th (Colin's Dad's Bday, the day before Dad's, week before mine, and a week after Tori's...Who is going to share a bday?!?)

One of those days!

You know those days where people just flat out make us mad and grumpy?!? Well today has been one of those days for me but somehow after reading my sister's blog post it all just seems funny. Go read it if you are having a crappy day or if you just want a good laugh!

Also, I saw this earlier today which gave me a pretty good laugh...Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Also, it never hurts that I got to see a picture of my precious niece or nephew this morning! You could see "it" so much better than the first picture Tori got a few weeks ago! Cannot wait until September to meet the little one!! I will post the picture when I get a copy of it from Tori.

We have a CONTRACT!!

Last Sunday Nathan & I put the sign out in front of the house and have had an overwhelming response! We have not advertised at all other than 2 signs on the main streets next to our house and the sign with flyers in front of the house. Within the last week we have gotten tons of calls and gone through almost 80 flyers! Since we were gone all weekend, we weren't able to show it but fortunately had people lining up to see it!
Well, after exactly 1 week on the market and our FIRST showing tonight at 7:30, WE HAVE A CONTRACT!! Within a few hours, the house was sold!! I was literally in shock! The couple pretty much had decided they wanted it before they even walked out! They were so sweet & are actually getting married in April so we couldn't be more happy to sell it to them. Hopefully everything works out from here but for now...I think I am still trying to take it all in. Never in my life did I imagine we would have a contract after our first showing. Too bad I already had 2 showings scheduled for tomorrow...what a letdown for them!!
Less than 2 months left to enjoy all of this! :(
Kitchen ---favorite place to be!

Our Office

Our "Naked" Bathroom ;)

Living Room

Master Bedroom

This is all so exciting so just pray that everything goes through and works out. Like I said, never did I EVER think this would happen so quickly! At least we don't have to keep the house "show" ready all the time...it's exhausting!! hehe

R.I.P. Thumper Rabbit

Today we found out that Haley's Thumper Rabbit II was killed. It was a sad day for us & we will miss her! Send some love Haley's way---she really loved Thumper Rabbitt II.

Anyway Love

This past weekend Nathan & I went to "Focus on your Marriage Simulcast" through Focus on the Family. I can't even begin to tell you how much we learned and how much we realized that we still have to learn! So far our marriage has been wonderful & it is such a blessing to get to spend every day together. I guess for us, the marriage simulcast put a lot of things into perspective and talked a lot about the "hard stuff". I think we often hear about how wonderful it is to be married but no one often talks about the difficult times and the moments where you flat out just don't like each other. Don't go think we are having all these big problems---not true at all! It was just such an encouragement to hear the testimonies of so many Godly people and to be reminded that the purpose of our marriage should ultimately be to bring honor & glory to Him.
This past week my Mom forwarded this Focus on the Family article to me. Check it out & consider this:

"Will you love only because? Or are you willing to love anyway? Will you love a man or woman who doesn't appreciate your sacrifice? Will you love a husband or wife who takes you for granted? Will you love a spouse who isn't nearly as kind to you as you are to him or her?

Just about every faithless marriage is based on because love. Christians are called to anyway love. That's what makes us different. That's what gives glory to God. That's what helps us appreciate God's love for us, because God loves us anyway. He gives and gives and gives – and we take Him for granted. He is eager to meet with us, and we get too busy to notice Him. He is good to us, and we accuse Him mercilessly when something doesn't go just the way we planned it.

But God loves us anyway. To love anyway is to love like God – and to learn about God's love for us.

That's love, the way God intended it."
