February's Freak Snow Day...Go Figure!

Ok, so I am not trying to be all bah humbug about this whole snow thing but seriously...we just got the yard ready for the house to go on the market next Monday!!! We covered as much as we could with freeze cloth so hopefully that helps. We shall see when it all melts away! I just can't believe it snowed for a solid 12 hours today! Although it was nice to watch out the window while I caught up on homework, I would much rather Spring just hurry up and get here so I can go to the lake and do my homework outside! Enjoy the pics!
This was our lovely indoor "greenhouse!"

Covering all of our poor plants...hope they survived!

Beginning of the snow this morning

And this afternoon! Poor flowers...

I didn't fall off the face of the Earth, I promise!

I know there is a lot to catch up on because I haven't posted in forever BUT I will try to do it as briefly as possible so don't bore you to death! Lately Nathan & I have been completely consumed with our last semester of college. Seriously, it has been ridiculous! I have never had to do so much homework in all of my college career...oh, and I am only taking 12 hours!! (I have taken 18 almost every other semester) Poor Nathan has the same classes I do plus 6 more hours...

Anyways, in the midst of school we have been buried in Superbowl parties, a marathon, work, and tons of home sale prep. Last weekend Nathan, Justin, Danielle & I piled in the car and headed to Surfside, TX for Nathan & Justin's first half marathon. We had no idea what to expect but definitely had a great time! Justin placed 9th and Nathan placed 34th out of 650 runners. I seriously was so proud considering the first time Nathan ran past us he shouted "This sucks!" and I wasn't really sure how he would finish since he had 9 more miles to go... Obviously he survived though! Supposedly this will be one of many events that Danielle and I will have to tag along to...maybe next time we won't have to sit in the car and watch since it was 40 degrees!

Before the 13 Miserable Miles...

Danielle & I felt more like Mom's with all of their stuff...

Nathan & Justin before the race

On March 1 we are finally putting the house on the market so we can make the big move back to Brenham on May 1! Needless to say we have been working like crazy people to get it ready. All the family came up to pitch in this weekend to get everything ready so that was a huge help!! The boys obviously worked outside while the all the girls gladly volunteered to stay inside and then made a quick trip to Marta's Room for some quality antiquing time!! We eventually helped plant flowers when the weather warmed up... at least some of us(Not to mention names or anything...Haley & Tori). Lots of the big projects are done, now just finishing touches & cleaning. We are just ready to get it sold, kind of... Haley & I were talking today and pretty much guaranteed that we will both cry when it sells because it has so many great memories. Such is life though, so much more to look forward to!

Anyone have any tips for selling a house that I should know about?
Seriously, how stinking cute are my parents!?!

These 2 worked really hard...clearly!

This was about the extent of Haley's contribution

Goodbye for now! Maybe I will post about something new & exciting next week...if you are lucky!!!!

Sorry, ok....

For those of you(Janna & Tori) that keep bugging me about posting something new, here it is. A short post to tell you that I don't have time to post because life is insane and my last semester of college is kicking my butt!!! Also, Nathan told me to tell you all that as a newlywed I have better things to be doing than blogging...like cooking & cleaning, duh! ;) Anyways, eventually when I can catch up (which might be never) I will post about our Superbowl Party this past weekend or this ridiculously cold weather we have been experiencing that has forced me to wear ski clothes around in my drafty old house! Until then, have a great week...or next few weeks! I am off to study for Global Business...lovely!
